Who are we ?
Nouveaux Horizons is a national non-governmental organization (NGO), signatory of the framework agreement N°0038/01193 with the State of December 3, 2007, the aim of which is to ensure the strengthening of local capacities by providing advisory support and quality expertise in the service of local development. Its vision is to build a responsible society based on sustainable development based on solidarity and equity. It intervenes in various areas including food security, the fight against poverty, rural development, project management and monitoring-evaluation, democratic and accountable governance, natural resource management, natural disaster management, integrated water resource management, community health/nutrition/Wash, etc.
The intervention area of The organization covers the regions of Timbuktu, Gao, Kidal and Ménaka through a management based in Gao and branches in the chief towns of the Ansongo, Ménaka and Kidal districts. However, the NGO can intervene throughout the national territory. From its creation to the present day, the NGO Nouveaux Horizons has established multiple partnerships with international NGOs, the Government of Mali, organizations of the United Nations System for the implementation of development projects and programs and humanitarian actions.
On analysis, the NGO New Horizons (NoHo) has a wealth of experience in bilateral and multilateral partnerships.
To consolidate its intervention in northern Mali and its strategic partnership with development partners, the NGO Nouveaux Horizons has adopted a logic of synergy of interventions and development of coalitions by initiating the establishment of the consortium for the development of the Northern Regions of Mali (CDRNM), created on 1st January 2015 with certain partner NGOs such as CRADE, GARDL and ASDN, often providing leadership.
The NGO NoHo is today a credible partner of the development actors of the Gao region. Its permanent staff includes 51 people with diverse profiles and proven expertise in the fields of social cohesion and communal development. The staff of the NGO NoHo is mainly from the community with a perfect understanding of the needs and realities of local communities and a strong acceptance of its interventions. It also has the material resources and equipment necessary for the successful implementation of the activities of the Project to support social cohesion and economic resilience for internally displaced populations, refugees and host communities vulnerable to security risks in the Gao region. These include, among other things, an office in Gao with branches in Ansongo, Bourem and Ménaka, an all-terrain vehicle, around fifteen motorcycles, computers, printers, photocopiers, etc.
